Teen Writers Lab

The Teen Writers Lab is a virtual space for emerging writers across the world to have their scripts read out loud, receive feedback, and get the guidance to help make brilliant new work.
The Young Actors Studio has been a recognized leader for three decades in developing new scripts for young people.The Lab meets on Saturdays 12PM-1:30PM (Pacific Time), and/or Wednesdays 5PM-6:30PM (Pacific Time).
There are no costs or fees to be part of the Lab, but you must complete the following application. Selected applicants will be contacted to schedule a virtual interview.
Requirements:
-Submit the below application.
-Be currently enrolled in high school, or equivalent homeschool, or on-line based program.
-Must have permission from guardians to join the program.
-Writing samples can be scripts, prose, poetry.

Since 1996, we have been providing a supportive, encouraging environment space for young artists to discover their own unique voice and become empowered to share it with the world.
Our previous writers have gone to have their work as winners of the national Young Playwrights Festival, the California Young Playwrights Project, the YoungArts Foundation, and selected for countless different film festivals across the globe.
