For thirty years, The Young Actors Studio has been the leading institution for young artists to learn the craft of acting. The studio has helped develop many new voices who’ve made remarkable contributions in film, theater, television, music, and so much more.
The Young Actor’s Studio is looking to showcase the work of young writers from across the world in our First Annual Teen Writing Festival. Selected entries will have a virtual and live public reading of their work performed by our young actors, along with a cash prize, and (if interested) a full scholarship to our acclaimed Online New Works Lab program.
The Series is accepting poetry, short stories, plays, film scripts, and speeches/monologues. The deadline for submission is April 30, 2025. Selected writers will be notified by June 15th, and the public readings will be held in November 2025.
Submission Guidelines:
-Writers must be between the ages of 13-18
-Writers can submit up to 3 pieces of writing for consideration
-All submissions must be entirely the writer’s own work- no collaborations.
-Please email all submissions as a .pdf only to literary@youngactorsstudio.com.
