Introducing Virtual Acting Classes to our Students and Parents
We will be sending Zoom links at least an hour before the event begins. All students need to do is click on the link provided to “join the meeting”- they should select the option “join the meeting with audio”. Like normal class, we expect students to log-in to the class on-time. This link may help, if needed:
Students should be in a quiet place where they can focus. We recognize that for some students this will present challenges, but the least amount of distractions the better. For this reason, we definitely discourage family members or friends being in the room when students are in class.
It is ideal for students to use a laptop for class- but a cell phone can work as well. If students are using a cell phone, then we recommend them putting it on some kind of stand so they don’t have to hold the cell phone the entire time. Also, students should have a straight back chair for technique classes.
Helping the Studio
All virtual classes this session will be “pay what you can”. We are a small business that is definitely struggling to get through this like so many others. Pasted below is the link to make a contribution to the studio for these classes. A suggested amount would be $25 per class, but please feel free to contribute less or more depending on your circumstance.
And you can still help even if you can’t financially contribute anything! Please post about the student’s experience on social media channels. Share your experience with family and friends. Perhaps you know people who couldn’t make the commute out to North Hollywood, but whose child could benefit from these virtual classes.
