Technique/Scene Study

Jeff Alan-Lee, whose former students include ShiaLaBeouf and Scarlett Johannson, is now offering a weekly class in Technique/Scene Study. Students will learn Method acting while also being exposed to a wide variety of techniques that will best prepare them for the professional rigors of this field.

5-6 Year Old- INTRODUCTION TO ACTING
Introduction to Acting
( Saturdays OR Sundays 9AM-10AM )
This fun class is a great introduction to the magic of acting. The young actor explores acting through costume, story telling, animal exercises, fairy tales, and improvisation. This is a wonderful class to build the young actor’s self esteem by helping them to trust their own unique imagination.

7-8 Year Old-CORE PROGRAM
Acting Technique
( Sundays 10AM-12PM; Classes Start February 12th)
Students develop a solid acting while having fun in the process. This course includes acting exercises, improvisation, storytelling, and place/ imagination work. In doing so, they will develop a self- confidence that will stay with them in wherever they go.

Students learn to apply technique work to a variety of scripts. Through the basics of the Stanislavaski system- students learn about wants/objectives, through-line of action, sense memory, and place work. .

This class focuses on teaching young people how to merge their own uniqueness into the demands of film and television. The young actor learns about the technicalities of working on camera, and various audition techniques that will make them stand out. In addition, they learn comedy improv so that there is a level of freedom in front of the camera, or in an audition room.

The focus of this class is on issues related to the voice: projection, diction, annunciation, etc. This class is extremely valuable for students looking to further their acting pursuits, as well as those looking to improve their overall communication skills.

Comedy Improvisation/ Stand-Up

A very fun course to further develop essential qualities for comedy improvisation: spontaneity, commitment, listening, and creativity. Additionally, students work on developing original material that spotlights and champions their own uniqueness.
