FAQ’S (Frequently Asked Questions)
+ There are so many acting classes in Los Angeles to choose from? Why the Young Actor’s Studio?
One of our biggest points of focus is discovering your individual strengths, and what you respond to. Some schools force students to fit into a rigid, uniform approach. At our studio, we keep exploring different ideas, approaches, and material so that you can grow the most as an artist! Moreover, we have a long track record spanning 25 years in developing very skilled actors.
+ I don’t have too much experience? Is this the studio for me?
Experience is not a big determinant here. The goal of this training is to let your honest self emerge in front of a camera, or on-stage. Some actors have extensive experience but have tremendous difficulty with this, and vice versa. This course will provide you with a real strong technique essential for any actor.
+ Will there be much actual time on-stage?
Yes! You will get up on the stage every single week. This is not a course with a lot of sitting, listening to a teacher go on and on…
+ Should I do this instead of casting workshops?
We can understand the professional value of some casting workshops. However, it is essential that any actor has a solid technique so that they have an inner-validation and self-esteem whenever they go into an audition, or meeting. Our studio is where you can grow as an artist by trying new things, and it being okay to fail sometimes. That is how we grow.
